Franke, John R.

John Franke is Professor of Theology at Biblical Seminary in Philadelphia. He did his doctorate at Oxford University and, as an evangelical engaging positively with the challenges of post-modernity, has written a number of important books on theological method - Beyond Foundationalism (with Stanley Grenz) and The Character of Theology. He serves on the Coordinating Group of Emergent Village and has also served as the co-chair of the Evangelical Theology Group of the American Academy of Religion. He is an appointed representative of Emergent Village to the Faith and Order Commission of the National Council of Churches, and chair of the Evangelical Theology and Postmodernity Study Group of the Evangelical Theological Society.
